Luminator is a leading innovator in the design and manufacturing of communications and lighting products for more than 90 years in public transport transit industry. We are continuing to build our team by adding a Senior Linux Software Engineer to our OS platform team. You can work completely remote in this role or work at the Technology Development Center in Herrljunga.
About the role:
Luminator are in an exciting phase where they are growing quick and are currently going through a standardization process to implement new systems and platforms. In this role you will play an important part in developing standard Linux operating systems. The goal of the team is to create a base, a core foundation for all the products we have, that is easy to update, maintain and develop. You will take the lead for developing these solutions and collaborate with other teams at Luminator. You will have opportunity to work in international team with colleagues from Germany for instance.
For an example you will:
- Lead the standardization process and develop the Linux OS system
- Implement new functions and maintain the ecosystem for great functionality
- Work closely with other cross-functional teams
We believe that you have a good understanding and approximately 5 years of experience working with Linux and C/C++ coding.
We are also looking for you who have been working with:
- Device tree adaptation
- Script languages as Python or Bash
It would be a great advantage if you have previous experience in:
- Scripted build
- Automated build process
- Embedded systems OS
