About the Role
As a Data Engineer/Analyst, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining a modern data infrastructure that supports data-driven decision-making across the Nordic organization. You will work closely with the CFO/COO, business leaders, and IT specialists, both locally and globally within ZEISS.
The role involves working with data modeling, ETL processes, data quality, and integrations, primarily in an Azure environment. You will ensure that data is accessible, structured, and reliable for analysis, reporting, and automation.
You will also contribute to improving data flows and implementing best practices in data governance, metadata management, and information architecture.
Your Profile
We are looking for someone with a relevant academic degree in areas such as Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or Information Management, and at least 3–5 years of experience in data engineering, data analysis, or related fields. You have solid skills in languages like Python, SQL, or DAX, and experience working with modern visualization tools such as Power BI.
Experience with metadata management and tools like Informatica or Collibra is highly valued. You have a strong understanding of data warehousing, preferably in Azure environments such as Data Warehouse and Lakehouse. You are well-versed in data quality, data governance, and relevant data protection and privacy regulations.
To succeed in this role, you should be able to communicate technically complex information clearly and pedagogically to non-technical stakeholders. You work proactively, are solution-oriented, and enjoy tackling data-related challenges. Finally, you are fluent in English, both in spoken and written forms.
Desirable Qualifications
It is a plus if you also have:
- Microsoft Fabric experience
- Knowledge of Power Automate and Power Apps
- Experience with AI tools such as ChatGPT Plus, Co-pilot, or similar
- Strong command of Swedish, both spoken and written
