When you can’t breathe, nothing else matters. That’s why a career at Breas Medical matters. Our mission is to improve the quality of life and care of respiratory patients around the world through a personal commitment to innovation, quality, and customer focus. Join us as Principal Software Engineer!

About the role

Our cloud-based connectivity platform, EveryWare, is scaling rapidly—empowering respiratory care teams around the world with real-time data and remote monitoring. To support this momentum, we’re looking for a Principal Software Engineer to join our R&D team in Mölnlycke, Sweden, and take a leading role in designing and building scalable, secure, and compliant software systems.

You’ll play a key part in designing and building scalable, secure, and compliant cloud solutions that power our connected health ecosystem. This is a hands-on role with high impact — perfect for someone who enjoys both coding and architecture, and wants to make a real difference in patient care.

You will:

  • Design and develop cloud infrastructure and software architecture for EveryWare
  • Build secure, reliable software and APIs using C# .NET, microservices, and serverless tech
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product and support teams
  • Participate in FMEA and technical design reviews
  • Create and execute test plans, unit tests, and integration tests
  • Ensure quality and compliance with GDPR, HIPAA, and medical standards

This position is based at Breas HQ in Mölnlycke, Sweden with a hybrid work-solution.

About you

You’re a technically strong, collaborative engineer who enjoys working both independently and across teams. You thrive in an agile environment and can balance hands-on coding with architectural thinking.

You have:

  • Several years of hands-on experience within software development
  • Strong experience in cloud architecture, microservices, and containerized solutions
  • Proficiency in C# .NET, Web API, Azure, SQL development, and Git-based workflows
  • Experience in CI/CD tools and test frameworks such as NUnit, xUnit, Moq
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills in English

It is meritorious if you have:

  • Familiarity with Kafka, Cassandra, NodeJS, ReactJS, TypeScript, and WebAssembly
  • Experience with healthcare interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR, EDI)
  • Exposure to big data, analytics, and low-latency systems
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or similar field
